Senior Staff Accountant ( Temp - Hire) to $50-K ( Calabasas, CA)

Industry leadingreal estate investment company needs an accountant for their day to day activities. This is a deadline and detailed oriented position.

Responsible for all aspects of accounting; including but not limited to preparing cashier checks, wires/book transfers, ACHs, accounts payable, accounts receivable and journal entries.

Responsible for account reconciliations to ensure balances are properly recorded and supported with appropriate analysis and documentation.

Create and maintain spreadsheets for analyzing and calculating financial data.

Compile and analyze accounting reports such as balance sheets, consolidations, capital expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, P&L statements and partnership reports.

Access computerized financial information to answer general questions as well as those related to specific accounts.

Special projects as requested by the Controller and/or Executive Management.

Skills

To be considered candidate must have skills and be able to demonstrate:

Ability to follow directions.

Minimum 3 year experience with Quickbooks.(Mandatory)

Strong experience with Excel.

Understanding and recent experience with fundamental accounting.

Experience with 1099s.

Coordinate and support tax filings and auditors.

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work quickly and accurately within timelines.

Ability to multi-task, manage multiple daily assignments and meet daily required deadlines.

10-key by touch

Must be able to work overtime if required.

Education/Experience

Associates degree or equivalent work experience.

Requirements

3-5 years of General Accounting experience and advanced Excel and QuickBooks experience..
