Description RESPONSIBILITES

Specialist will review and reconcile variances between anticipated closing costs and costs recorded at settlement on the HUD by preparing the appropriate accounting entries. Responsibilities include communication with third party vendors, closing agents and internal departments to resolve variances including exceptions and document deficiencies. Specialist will create payable and receivable entries. Follow up letters and phone calls will be made to attempt collection of receivables. Specialist will maintain a record of all actions taken to establish a complete audit trail.

Requirements QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications include a minimum of 1 year of experience in bookkeeping or accounting/finance. Prior mortgage or Loan Control experience preferred. Successful candidate must be self motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. Ability to meet deadlines and strong oral/written communication skills preferred. Strong problem solving skills and math aptitude required. Recent computer experience and ability to learn applicable software as well as excellent follow up skills are required. Overtime may be required.
