The National Sales Manager- Incentive Sales is responsible for generating incentive business from National and International markets. The primary objective is to maximize revenue generation and market penetration from within the Incentive segment. This includes, but is not limited to the nurturing of existing National accounts, developing relationships with known top incentive houses and the identification of emerging sources of business within the Incentive market. The position requires a thorough understanding of direct sales, account management, and the distribution channels related to the incentive market. Must be able to multi-task, problem solve, manage administrative expectations and be flexible and adaptable to differing situations. - Achieve Suite Revenue – Quarterly
- Travel three to four times a quarter to various markets or Incentive oriented Tradeshows
- Prospect to new Incentive accounts to generate new revenue opportunities
- Develop a qualified database of Incentive planners and corporate incentive end user
- Set-up site inspections and FAM trips with appropriate on site communication, planning and follow through
- Develop Incentive packages utilizing Internal/External assets
Minimum Employment Requirements:21years of age, proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States, A Bachelors Degree in Hotel Management, Marketing, Business Administration or related field preferred but not required. Ability to communicate effectively in a positive/upbeat fashion utilizing English; both in oral and written form, interpersonal skills with focused attention to guest needs to deal effectively with all business contacts, maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to VCR appearance standards, maintain consistent adherence to the VCR Unmatched Guest Service Standards, work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Specific Position Requirements:Minimum of 5 years experience in hotel sales. Associated with or Member of Incentive based tradeshows (SITE, IRF, etc). Must have previous hotel sales experience with a proven track record. 2 years minimum experience with developed relationships within desired territory. Exceptional interpersonal skills and relationship management capabilities. Strong ability to influence internally and externally across all levels. Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills. Comfortable with soliciting business via outside sales calls or over the phone. Delphi experience preferred.
Work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment. Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude while dealing effectively with guests, management, team members, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines. Must be able to frequently move freely about the office, maintain manual dexterity to access computer via computer keyboard and operate office equipment, such as telephones, copiers, fax machine, etc., withstand various activities such as frequent walking, sitting for long periods and withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending and kneeling without restriction. Be able to work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to CRT fatigue, noise, dust, cigarette smoke, and be able to access all areas of the property.
