Summary

Participate as a team member for medium projects of moderate complexity. Work under general supervision and guidance and is responsible for applying skills, tools and techniques to assigned deliverables, processes, and systems in order to meet or exceed stakeholder needs and expectations. Responsible for planning and execution of the security-related activities and resources to ensure that established cost, time, and quality goals are met. Ensures the user community adherence to established IS Security procedures and policies. Act as advocate for IS Security awareness and education.

Primary Duties

  • Management and development of email filtering rules that protect the company from information leakage, malicious emails, and computer viruses
  • Management of the company Internet filtering rules base. This includes implementing new policies, managing exceptions to policies, and problem resolution
  • Roll-out, expansion, and maintenance of the Travelers digital rights management platform
  • Organize responses to security incidents
  • Environmental scans for new security technologies (e.g. secure email). Evaluation and implementation of those technologies
  • Participate in the processes to find security vulnerabilities in Travelers computing environment, to analyze security risk, and to develop and implement plans to mitigate the security exposures found

    • Typical Experience

    College degree or technical education with typically at least 3 years IT experience. Possesses experience providing high-level administrative support with a comprehensive knowledge of specific IS Security methodologies, processes and software packages and a conceptual understanding of other IS Security disciplines.
