TECHSTAFF is currently looking for a Sensor Design Engineer for a Permanent position in the South Bend, IN area.

Position Summary

Develops hardware and software and provides sustaining engineering support to customers.

Scope/Supervision And Interaction

Member of a concurrent engineering design team. Works with limited direction.

Essential Functions

  • Designs, fabricates, modifies and evaluates complex electronic circuitry of electronic devices or systems.
  • Performs development and/or test work which requires a comprehensive knowledge of electronic theory and design.
  • Compiles and evaluates design and test data, prepares technical specifications, analyzes technical data to determine appropriate limits and variables for product specification.
  • Analyzes, develops and recommends design approaches required to meet production requirements for new or improved products.
  • May review and approve drawings and specifications prepared by technical support personnel: and may assign work and direct the activities of engineering support staff as required.
  • Manages low risk, low time projects.
  • Provides sustaining engineering support for one product.

    • Qualifications

  • B.S.E.E. or B.S.M.E. with 2-5 years of applicable experience.
  • M.S. with 2 years of experience.
  • Applications engineering experience preferred.
