Description
This job is responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on NMC facilities including electrical, mechanical and aesthetic.
Duties
Performs preventive electrical, mechanical and aesthetic maintenance on all equipment and systems throughout facilities, including lighting systems, IT systems, HVAC, shop equipment such as hoists, welders, presses, lathes, boilers, plumbing, pneumatic systems, etc., Performs daily site inspections of facilities and mechanical equipment to ensure proper operation. Assists in development and application of preventive maintenance program. Helps develop and apply inputs to the PM program. Performs preventive maintenance to building systems and equipment as assigned.
Performs daily electrical, mechanical and aesthetic repairs assigned through workflow system on industrial shop machinery and equipment, exterior/interior physical building structure, HVAC, etc. Specific skills to perform building repairs including:
Interior: Drywall, paint and wall-covering; ceiling tile and grid; carpet and tile flooring; door and door hardware as well as plumbing repairs to faucets, sinks urinals, toilets, drains and valves.
Exterior: Signs, landscaping, fence, roof and siding.
Electrical: Minor repairs and replacing of lamps.
Provide assistance in office moves and furniture reconfigurations as needed.
Perform administrative duties which include but not limited to creating and closing work orders using our Computer Automated Facilities Management system.
Must be able to travel to other locations as needed.
Handles general ground-keeping maintenance including snow removal, weeding, pruning, etc.
May perform other duties as required and assigned.Qualifications
Skills in effective verbal, listening and written communication to consult with customers, understand issues and recommend solutions.
Skills in customer service.
Ability to read electrical schematics and work with electrical based tools.
Ability to maintain a professional courteous manner with all customers, vendors, contractors, and employees.
Basic knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulics.
Ability to use hand and power tools.
Ability to safely and efficiently operate a forklift, service vehicle and utility vehicles.
Ability to identify and resolve machine system malfunctions and operating problems.
Ability to meet and maintain company driving requirements.
Ability to utilize proper bending, lifting, stooping, pushing, pulling, climbing, dismounting and three-points of contact techniques.
Ability to work well as a team member.
Basic skills in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook.Education And Experience
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Vocational or other technical school, apprenticeship, etc. preferred and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 3 years of building maintenance experience required, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC and interior finish construction.
Certifications in electrical, HVAC, interior finish, etc. preferred.
Valid driver s license required.
