Physician - Clinic Summary: This position is charged with the efficient and effective practice of specialty type services consistent with the established policies and procedures of West Virginia University Hospitals, Inc. In the performance of all the duties contemplated by this agreement, Employee shall, in the broadest sense, work with, consult with, cooperate with and advise the Administrative Director and the Medical Director, other staff and non-staff physicians, and technical and administrative personnel in order to promote the effective and efficient delivery of services. Employee shall use his best ability and efforts to attain and maintain a viable and busy practice at the assigned location. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Medical Responsibilities: 1. Conducts full-time and viable practice in the specialty type) at assigned facility. 2. Participates in medical staff committees as required. 3. Responsible for personal continuing education program. 4. Participates in educational activities in specialty type. 5. Responsible for technical supervision of medical and non-medical support staff including but not limited to physician assistants. Administrative Responsibilities: 1. Cooperates in the day to day management of the practice. 2. Cooperates in preparation of monthly reports to West Virginia University Hospitals, Inc. for all operations of the practice. 3. Consults with and advises West Virginia University Hospitals, Inc. regarding management of the practice. 4. Actively participates in quality assurance program as developed for United Physicians Care, Inc. 5. Completes medical records, dictation and review of medical reports as required for both effective medical practice and financial management. Position Requirements

The individual in this position must: Be a physician with an unrestricted license to practice in the State of West Virginia. Must have an unrestricted Controlled Substance Registration Certificate. Maintain a minimum of courtesy privileges on the medical staff of West Virginia University Hospitals as WVUH shall determine Be board certified in field of specialty.
