General Purpose Of Job

To ensure the site/space provides a culture focused on Watlow Way behaviors, values, and key principals, development of highly effective leaders, the deployment of Watlow’s integrated HR management policies, procedures, and practices, and the deployment of timely and accurate communications to all levels of the company.

Reports to:Director, HR Operations
Direct Reports:Human Resources Generalist, Human Resources Administrator, Employee Training Specialist

Location: This role supports both the St. Louis, MO and Hannibal, MO facilities and can work out of either location.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Provide site/space employee relations support, staffing, compensation administration, performance management coordination, and coaching for team leaders.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of leadership development and succession planning programs.
  • Coordinates site/space workforce planning activity, affirmative action programs, and temporary labor agency partnerships.
  • Coordinates site/space planning and implementation of HR Operations programs and initiatives in accordance with the department’s integration strategy.
  • Facilitate site/space integrated talent management initiatives.
  • Coordinate site/space employee benefit communication, employee engagement surveys, and employee recognition programs.
  • Support site/space administrative functions including payroll, benefit administration, local budgets, and community relations.
  • Provide HR strategic direction and act as an active business partner with site/space leadership teams.

  • Financial decisions in accordance with site/space budget parameters

  • Administer HR integration strategy according to documented HR policy and practices

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • A Bachelor’s degree in related field with a minimum of 5 years of HR experience supporting multi-site operations.A Masters degree in industrial relations or human resources management and a PHR or SPHR are preferred.
  • Experience maintaining the union free status of an organization.
  • Must have experience managing a formal talent management program.
  • Must have the ability to split time equally between Hannibal, MO. and St. Louis, MO. plant sites
  • Ability to communicate effectively; verbal, written, and active listening.
  • A demonstrated ability to influence through relationship building.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and foster an environment conducive to leadership development, teamwork, and has genuine concern for the well being for site/space team members.
  • Thorough understanding of and practical application of HR regulatory and legal guidelines.
  • Behavioral competencies should include; ability to multi-task, strategic thinking, influencing others, problem analysis, and tactical thinking.
