The Director of Client Industrial Design will report into the VP of Intel Architecture Group and GM of Client Solutions and Technology (CST) in the PC Client Group, a significant revenue contributor for Intel. The person will be responsible to lead a team of about 8 to 10 senior industrial design experts and expected to deliver leadership user experience, futuristic designs and integration of this into breakthrough reference client systems (Ultrabooks, AIO and future form factors) that Intel is working on.

This is a leadership role that requires excellent vision, strategic acumen and ability to take ideas to reality by working with execution teams within CST. Individual must be able to drive success of user experience on Intel developed reference systems, generate critical technology IP portfolio, drive user experience mindset in the organization, set direction on measuring user experience success on future systems that we are developing and strategize user experience validation expectations of Intel partners/customers.

Qualifications

Degree in Design/Arts is a must.

The person should have a minimum of 15 years of Industrial Design experience and at least 2 or 3 very successful products in the market that she/he have led.

Experience with different products across a few companies is preferred. Influencing and people skills have to be excellent. Knowledge of user experience differences and challenges in different markets is a plus.
