Job Summary - Essential Functions/Duties

JT3 seeks an entry-level or junior engineer to work as a member of the Threats Engineering department responsible for providing engineering support to Operations and Maintenance (O&M) department personnel.

  • Applicants must be able to perform circuit analysis, write technical papers describing system theory of operations, major functions, internal system data flow, communications protocol, message formats, interface control documentation and hardware, Applicants must be able to systematically troubleshoot and repair system faults down to the component level.
  • Applicants must be able to interact in a team environment with a diverse technical workforce. Applicants are also required to interface with customer representatives and internal/external organizations.

  • Working Conditions

    Applicants will work a four, ten-hour day work week, will travel to a remote location on the first day of the work week, will remain at the work site during the week, and return home on the last day of the work week.

    This position involves work in a field environment and normal office conditions exists the majority of the time; however, the position requires walking, bending, stooping, climbing stairs, lifting up to 40 pounds. Applicants must be able to manipulate computer keyboards and view and interpret computer displays. Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SSBI security clearance and be granted physical access to classified government facilities and programs.

    Requirements - Education, Technical And Work Experience

    Applicants must possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university. The candidate must have a professional knowledge of applicable engineering concepts and principles and a familiarity with related engineering fields. The candidate must have a practical knowledge of test methods and practices sufficient to perform routine to more complex engineering procedures and to prepare or make minor modifications of standard procedures or test equipment work instructions. The incumbent should have a working knowledge of computer systems and computer-based engineering tools and must possess planning/organizing skills. The incumbent will be required to qualify for and maintain a government security clearance and must have a valid, current state driver's license.
