Northwestern State University's Student Technology Fees Department seeks an experienced individual to fill the position of Technical Support Assistant.
In order to perform the duties of this position a working knowledge of the following is required: Microsoft Windows applications: 7, XP, Mac OS X 10.4 and up, Microsoft Office Suites, Symantec Ghost, Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 and up, Firefox, Deep Freeze, SPSS, Moodle, PaperCut, installation of printers, system policies and user profiles.

Job Concepts
Responsible for assisting with the maintenance of Student Lab PC hardware and software. Connect PC's to the University network and install the software necessary for the PC to operate on the network. Assist in the installation and maintenance of network printing and remote connectivity equipment. Install and maintain shared network applications. Diagnose problems and determine the cause and solution in a timely manner. Assist with the maintenance of SMART classrooms including lecture/capture and audio visual equipment across the university community.
