Gensler’s San Francisco Lifestyle/Retail Interiors studiohas a growing, worldwide base of diverse retail clients and projects. We take a multi-disciplinary approach to designing and implementing a full range of retail projects, from store design and retail architecture to branding and merchandising strategy.

We have an exceptional leadership opportunity for an experienced retail design director with a deep knowledge of the entire retail process.

Qualifications Include

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture, LEED accreditation, and 10+ years of diverse retail store design experience, including experience in a leadership role
• A mix of strategic and creative bent, with ability to create great form while embracing sound business strategy
• Passionate about retail design and able to be the design inspiration for multiple highly-creative project teams
• Experience directing and providing leadership for design teams from business development presentations through developing strategy and design concepts
• Ability to provide critical design review to design teams
• Demonstrated success building, nurturing and fostering new client relationships
• Ability to work closely with design directors across the firm to promote an inter-disciplinary design approach and philosophy, and to facilitate its advancement across the firm
