• Responsibilities:
  Monitors the hospital environment to provide for safety and security of all patients, visitors and staff. Adheres to and enforces hospital security guidelines in all areas and notifies nursing supervisor of any concerns. Performs duties as needed, including, but not limited to, messenger, escort, and transporter. Records detailed, specific and accurate information of events and situations as needed according to hospital policies and procedures. Responds to difficult and/or demanding patients and /or family members in accordance to CPI training.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent. California Security Guard Card required. A valid Driver's license and clean driving required required. Non-violent Crisis Prevention & Intervention required. AHA Healthcare Provider or Red Cross Professional CPR Certification preferred. One year of security experience required; hospital setting preferred.
