Job Description The Software Quality Assurance Engineer develops and executes test plans and automated tests for new features, new hardware and functionality of Brocade products. Day-to-Day Responsibilities • Must be able to work closely with design engineers, marketing, and other test engineers. • It is important for the candidate to be able to understand feature requirements and translate to test cases and test automation. • This position requires the ability to quickly and effectively execute testing assignments.
Qualifications/Job Responsibilities: Education and Experience • BS or equivalent work experience. • 8 - 10 years industry experience. • Understanding L2/L3 switching and routing, Ethernet, TCP/IP, UDP/IP, IPV4, IPV6• Working knowledge of basic QoS, VLANs, STP, RSTP Protocols. • Understanding of OSPF, BGP, RIP routing protocols. • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills • Strong written skills specifically as related to writing test plans and test reports. Comfortable with technical and business English usage ( documents reading, e-mails, conference calls ) Physical requirements • Frequent use of mouse and keyboard • Frequent phone usage • Occasional lifting up to 10 pounds Brocade is an equal opportunity employer.
