Northrop Grumman Information Systems in Reston, VA has a requirement for an experienced Technical Editor to support the engineering and documentation effort to support the Project Implementation, System Requirements, and Preliminary Design for a new security architecture. The candidate will assist the government PMO and the contractor technical staff in preparing all documentation deliverables with a consistent format including the Program Management Plan (PMP), System Requirements Document (SRD), Requirements Traceability Matrix (RVTM), Interface Control Document (ICD), System Design Specification (SDS). The Technical Editor will write, rewrite and/or edit as well as create and/or modify related graphics in the technical documents to communicate clearly and effectively technical specifications and instructions to a wide range of audiences. The Technical Writer will also assist the government PMO in the creation of senior level briefings, etc. as necessary. Will oversee preparation of documentation and will conduct quality review of materials.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree with 10 years of experience in technical editing
  • Experience providing technical editor support a full life-cycle engineering project / program
  • Must have an active and current TS/SCI security clearance with a polygraph
  • U.S. citizenship required

  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior technical writing / editing experience for the Intelligence Community
  • Familiarity with the customer's Project Management Framework (PMF)
