Chesapeake Energy Corporation is seeking a talented individual for the position of Sr. Pipeline Engineer. This position is located at our corporate headquarters in Oklahoma City, OK and reports to the Pipeline Manager.
The Sr. Pipeline Engineer is a senior level position ideally suited to experienced engineers who are able to pull from a broad midstream knowledge-base encompassing both liquids and natural gas pipeline and facility design, construction and operations including an understanding of both integrity and risk management principles.

Additional Duties And Responsibilities Include

Serve as liaison between Pipeline Group and assigned Operations Areas ensuring consistency across all operating areas while providing midstream-specific engineering support
Development and implementation of work programs to optimize existing plant/surface facilities and enhance production
Develop and implement the Company's midstream construction, operations, and maintenance standards
Serve as Project Manager & Subject Matter Expert (SME) for both pipeline and facility major projects
Conduct risk assessments and threat analysis for assigned pipeline segments and facilities
Evaluate both the Company's requirements for additional drilling, incremental volume and third party requests to ensure sufficient pipeline and facility capacity is available
Incorporate acquisitions and existing assets into company programs as necessary
Remain current with company and industry standards, pipeline regulations, etc.
Serve as mentor to entry-level engineering staff

Requirements

Knowledge and experience in pipeline construction, pipeline maintenance, pigging, MAOP/MOP determination, intelligent pigging, and risk assessments
Five plus years of recent gathering system, pipeline processing and compression facility experience with an upstream producer or midstream company
Understanding of pumps and compressors used in midstream facilities
General knowledge of various pipeline safety regulations (DOT Pars 192 & 195, TRRC, OCC, etc.)
Able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers, clients and other external contacts
Demonstrate basic computer knowledge through effective use of a personal computer including Microsoft Office applications. Able to learn company specific applications.
Any associate who drives a company or personal vehicle for company business must possess a valid drivers license and follow all guidelines that are outlined in the Company Fleet Policy

Must be hands on” and capable of interacting effectively at every level within the business
Must be a team player as well as goal-oriented individual who functions with the highest level of integrity and professionalism

A minimum of a bachelors degree in an Engineering discipline is required. A minimum of five years directly related experience is required. Ten or more years of experience in pipeline and facility engineering or equivalent is preferred.
