  • Under the direction of the Director of Women and Children's Health, the clinical leader assures that the standards of nursing practice and the standards of performance are achieved. In addition, the clinical leader assists with day to day operations of the department through clinical and supervisory activities as well as providing overall organization and coordination of education and Quality Improvement activities within the department. Graduate of an accredited RN BSN nursing program. Minimum 5 years in related area including labor and delivery, nursery, mother baby and gyn surgery. Teaching experience and/or clinical leadership experience preferred. Experience in pediatrics desirable. Excellent verbal and written skills, inter personal and customer service skills as well as negotiation and problem solving skills. Leadership abilities to provide support to staff and appropriate direction. Must possess critical thinking skills with the ability to prioritize needs rapidly. Ability to be flexible, organized and function as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Able to handle confidential material with maturity, sensitivity and discretion.
