2 positions covering Sunday - Saturday. Typically starting at 7 a.m., 8 - 12 hour shifts, varying as needed.
LOCATION: UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL - EPILEPSY MONITORING UNIT
Summary
We are a busy Neurodiagnostic lab performing EEG, EPs, & EMG/NCV. We have 12 Neurologists, with 2 dedicated Epileptologists and a NeuroIntervential Physician
We are currently doing Epilepsy Monitoring, Invasive Epilepsy Grid Monitoring, and seizure surgery. We are opening a new additional 4 bed in our Epilepsy Monitoring Unit.
We have just been certified as a Level 4 Epilepsy Center.
This position is responsible for performing specialized technical work for the following procedures: standard and specialized EEGs and epilepsy monitoring.

Required Qualifications
A high school diploma or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary.
Registration required: American Board of Registered Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists (R.EEGT) Two years of current neurophysiology experience is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Long term epilepsy monitoring a plus!
Detailed Description
Hookup and start long term video epilepsy monitoring patients
Monitor and document events on patients during their stay in epilepsy monitoring unit
Review daily recordings and mark and clip events
Archive studies
Work closely with Epilepsy physicians during monitoring to review studies, assure capture of events, and perform activation of events as needed
Monitor epilepsy patients during Invasive Grid Monitoring.
