The Senior Tax Accountant Will

  • Assist the Tax Director in all aspects of preparing and filing consolidated federal & state income tax returns and estimated tax payments.
  • Assist the Tax Director in all aspects of calculating the quarterly income tax provision and preparing the related journal entries to record income tax expense, tax liabilities, and deferred tax assets/liabilities.
  • Assist the Tax Director in all aspects of researching, preparing, and reviewing the tax footnotes included in the documents filed with the Securities & Exchange Commission.
  • Prepare tax depreciation schedules(MARCS, AMT & E&P) for auditors, tax returns, and forecasts.
  • Prepare and submit property tax returns and work with taxing authorities to insure fair assessments.
  • Prepare and submit tax returns for federal excise tax, E-911 surcharges, and city, borough and state sales tax.
  • Prepare, submit and coordinate payment of taxes due to taxing authorities including property tax, federal excise tax, E-911 surcharges, and city, borough and state sales tax.
  • Research tax law questions.

  • MINIMUM Qualifications To Be Considered

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, finance or equivalent
    • Four years professional level accounting experience.
    • Proficient in MS Office Suite with mastery skills in MS Excel

    PREFERRED Qualifications

    • One year of Regulatory and/or Telecommunications experience.
  • CPA preferred.
