IPTV Software Engineer

An exciting opportunity exists for an embedded software engineer to join a leading manufacturer ofaudio/visual test and measuring, as well as digital signal processing products. This rapidly growing company is a leader in the DTV/HDTV industry. The ideal candidate will beBroadcast Manufacturers, Cable Operators, and Engineers in the Consumer Electronics and Broadcast industries.

Job Description

• Perform within a team todevelop software for new products, as well as maintain and update software on current products
• Coordinate with other team members to achieve project timelines
• Work with other engineers to create and implement innovative improvements to processes
• Develop software through all stages, fromconcept/design, flowcharting & timelines, feasibility testing, to final documentation
• Participate in design dealing with video over internet protocol(IP)

• BS in Computer Science, BS in Software Engineering or BS in Computer Engineering required
• Experience with Product Development, specifically in products that are video and IP related
• Over 2 years experiencecoding Linux(embedded or PC) or Windows drivers(PC), GUIs or Application Code in C/C++
• Experience with other embedded Operating Systems is highly preferred(VX Works, Windriver, and ST)
• Web or remote client experience is highly preferred
• Must have experience with Visual Basic, JAVA, SNMP, HTML, PHP, Perl, etc.
• Skills in low level coding(drivers, dll's, interfaces)
• Be familiar with Video Technologies, such asMPEG, MPEG-2, ATSC, HDTV, RF Satellite, DVB(Digital Video Broadcasting), Digital Communication Systems, and DTV
• Be skilled in the following applications: encoders, receivers, decoders, remote client applications, network equipment, stream analysis, monitoring, transport stream analysis and, server applications
