Sales Representative - Federal Outside Sales

We are looking for an outside sales professional who is responsible for selling a diversified range of products in our Enterprise Cabling and Security Solutions(ECS) business within the assigned territory. Anixter is committed to bringing leading product offerings coupled with worldwide distribution capabilities and technical expertise to ensure data, voice, video and security networks can meet the network demands of businesses today and in the future. Anixter serves a variety of markets and specializes in delivering the right infrastructure solutions around the world.

As part of this outside sales role you will be developing new business in the assigned territory, as well as retaining and developing business with existing customers. This position is focused on strategic selling of the ECS product line which includes copper and fiber cable and connectivity, as well as a wide variety of infrastructure products like racks and cabinets, video surveillance and access control products.

    • Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in a related major is preferred
  • Several years of outside sales experience in our industry is preferred
  • Knowledge of selling to DOD & Federal business including FAR compliance preferred.
  • Must have a record of success in cold calling, qualifying leads, positions value-added services and closing business.
  • Ability to work at a fast-pace and learn products, systems, and sales processes.
