Location:Fort Riley, KS / Fort Irwin Army Hospital

Setting: Out Patient Services

Contract: Minimum of 1 year with optional yearly renewals

Hours: Monday thru Friday 7:30a.m. -4:30p.m.

On Call

The Physician shall perform on call duty on occasion. Call is pulled on a rotational basis with the other government and contract primary care physicians (FP, IM and Pediatricians). Call will be approximately one night per week and one weekend per month. While on weekday night call, the contract physician will provide call services while remaining in-house during call duty hours. While on weekend call day/night, the contract physician will be allowed to carry the beeper during off-duty outside the hospital, but if summoned, must be physically available to report to the hospital within 30 minutes of receipt of call. Weekend call back ranges from 2-10 hours each day (Fri PM, Sat, Sun). The contract physician shall perform rounds while on call.

Note: Not expected to work in outpatient clinic day after any night call.

Practice Description

The Family Practice physician shall provide outpatient services for military and their families in the Family Practice clinic at Irwin Army Community Hospital in Fort Riley, KS. All Tricare-No managed care.

Care shall include but not be limited to routine general family practice care to include care for acute and chronic patient conditions.
