Description And Desired Qualifications

We are looking for experienced TIGPipe Welders to join the project construction team inVineyard, UTto work on the newLake Side 2 Power Construction Projectfrom January 2013. Working closely with your Supervisor and crew you will be responsible for peparing, laying out and welding stainless and carbon steel pipe work, flanges and various fittings on this major construction project. Excellent pay rate and conditions are on offer for suitably experienced candidates.

Joining the project team you will play a major role in making this a successful project for CH2M Hill and its employees and the great state of Utah.

SPECIAL NOTE: CH2M Hill will not sponsor a work visa (e.g. H1B, etc.,) to fill this position. Applicants who are not authorized to work in the United States will not be considered.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Pipe Welder working on industrial construction projects.

  • Proficient with GTAW and SMAW processes.
    • Demonstrable experience with stainless and carbon steel pipe work.

  • Able to pass 6G welding test in accordance with ASME IX using GTAW process for root and hot passes and SMAW process for fill and cap passes.
    • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.

  • Able to read and understand site health and safety rules, regulations and signs.
    • A positive approach to team work.

  • Able to take direction and follow instructions.
    • Willingness to work night shift and weekends if neccesary.

  • Reliable transport to get to and from work.
    • Preferred Qualifications

    • Proficient in FCAW processes.

  • Welding certification for GTAW, SMAW and FCAW processes.
