PHLEBOTOMIST

Phlebotomy Technician needed for busy patient service center or private Dr's office. Full and Part-time shifts available. Full time hours are 8A-5P Mon-Fri. Part time hours are 8A-12Noon Mon-Fri. Some assignments pay be temporary in nature while others may be long term and temp-to-hire. Occasional Saturday's may be requested. Must have the ability to successfully draw back-to-back patients throughout the day, process specimens for shipment, and perform data entry of patient information while maintaining the highest of patient care standards.

Requirements

State Phlebotomy Certification (where required)

High School diploma or GED

3-5 years paid working Phlebotomy experience

Experience working with pediatrics/infants

Pass a drug screen and background check

Customer service attitude

Thorough tube knowledge

Complete understanding of the order of the draw

Excellent venipuncture technique

The ability to successfully draw the hardest of patients

Ability to draw patient after patient with no re-sticks

Data entry skills

Preference Given To Candidates Who Possess The Following Skills

Pediatrics through geriatrics experience

Bilingual (Spanish/English)

High volume drawing experience (50+) per day in an environment where the sole responsibility was to draw patients back-to-back throughout the entire shift, as work at a hospital or reference laboratory

High level of self confidence in ones own phlebotomy technique

Excellent customer service consistently demonstrated
