Spartan Staffing is currently seeking candidates for temporary-to-hire Warehouse Forklift Associate positions in Des Moines, IA.Our client has been in business for 25 years and has a 700,000 square feet facility. They deliver on their promises by providing warehousing, delivery, inventory tracking, workforce management, order picking and more. Employees will be responsible for performing various warehouse duties that include operation of a forklift. There are positions working a variety of shifts Monday - Saturday. Starting pay rate is between $9.00 and $12.00 per hour.

Job Duties

  • General warehouse duties that include but are not limited to, placing product into boxes and palletizing boxes for shipment as well as pick/pack, order pulling, inventory and more.
  • Operation of a forklift to assist in the retrieval of products.
  • Loading and unloading products from trucks

    • Qualified Candidates Must

  • Have 1 year prior experience in an industrial setting or fast paced environment preferred
  • Experience operating a forklift is a plus
  • Experience preferred in one of the following areas: Forklift, pick/pack, shipping/receiving, production, material handling, machine operators, quality assurance, inventory or assembly
  • Have ability to work overtime
  • Be a self starter and able to work independently as well as in a team
