Description News 12 New Jersey is looking for an energetic and outgoing News Anchor Reporter that can present news coverage with ease and comfort.
The ideal candidate should be able to generate story ideas, gather information, and produce and present stories and other content for all platforms and in a manner that is clear, relevant and meaningful to news consumers for a portion of the workweek. For the remainder of the workweek, to be a primary presenter of stories and other content for all platforms in a manner that is clear, engaging, and meaningful to news consumers. Ensure all content meets News 12 Network standards for journalistic integrity and production quality.
Qualifications The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years full-time professional news reporting and /or anchoring experience preferred. Must have effective on-air performance with good news judgment and knowledge of local and national current events, newsmakers, and issues. Must possess the ability to conduct in-depth research and pursue investigative stories effectively. Good news writing and copy editing ability for all platforms required. Should maintain professional personal appearance as defined by News 12 management, have the ability to work cooperatively with others to create a sense of teamwork in the presentation of news and other programming, and must possess the ability to conduct probing, in-depth and engaging interviews. Candidate will have proficiency in newsgathering equipment and computers, knowledge of news production techniques and demonstrated ability to develop engaging presentation. Enhance stories by providing insight and perspective with the ability to think quickly and respond appropriately in high-pressure situations. Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record and the ability to work a flexible schedule. Demos are required. Online demos only.
