Preventative Maintenance Mechanic Position

An Experienced Preventative Maintenance Mechanic is needed to perform maintenance work on a Variety of Trucks and/or Equipment for our client in Fairmont, WV.

Preventative Maintenance Mechanic Position Job Description

• Perform Preventative Maintenance on Diesel Engine Trucks and/or Equipment.
• Conduct fuel and electrical diagnostics with limited supervision.
• Complete most repairs and parts replacements.
• Accurately complete written record of work performed.
• Communicate with Drivers regarding “Vehicle Condition Reports" and make appropriate repairs.
• Maintain a clean work and shop area as directed.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualified Candidates For Preventative Maintenance Mechanic Will Have The Following Education/Experience

Qualified Candidates For Preventative Maintenance Mechanic Will Have The Following Education/Experience

• 6 years of mechanic experience is required.
• A valid CDL is preferred.
• Automotive Certification is preferred.
• Service Excellence Classification: Medium/Heavy Truck is preferred.
• Must provide a basic set of tools.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must possess a valid clear driver's license.
• Trade school, mechanical course, or equivalent highly desired.

Working Conditions

Shop, office, yard, vehicle environment, may require lifting of 20 to 50 lbs., at least once a day.
