Roles And Responsibilities
Specifically looking for a Data modeler
Participate on project teams to gather requirements and develop data models based on those requirements
Create logical and first cut physical data models based on the project requirements
Use a data modeling tool to create and modify data models (ERWIN)
Present models to the DBA and Data Modeling team for peer review
Present models to the project team and business partners
Create documents associated with data models such as source to target specification
Maintain / Create metadata associated with the logical data models
Conversant with the concepts of relational databases understand both normalized and dimensional
Working knowledge of SQL and how to query information in a Teradata database
Quickly understand existing data architecture and develop models according to guidelinesRequirements
Strong Teradata warehouse conceptual knowledge
Proficiency in using model development tools such as Erwin / Model Mart and ER/Studio / Repository
Must be able to effectively present a data models' design to both IT peers and business partners
