Position: Logistics Engineer
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana

As an College Entry Level Engineering Logistics Specialist you will perform a variety of tasks in support to The Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS) program. Perform Logistics Engineering Support tasks to include working with Logistic Management Interface Database (LMID), support Integrated Support Plan deliveries, Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), Supportability Analyses, and Provisioning activities. Participate in engineering Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to influence and focus team members on the supportability aspects of design and development.

Required Experience, Knowledge And/or Skills

  • Able to quickly understand and use Logistics software tools (Logistics Management Information (LMI), Maintainability prediction tools, Life Cycle Cost modeling tools, Level of Repair modeling tools, recommended spares modeling tools, etc.) and the performance of supportability analyses.
  • Skilled in using MS Windows, Excel, Project and Word.
  • Must have good communication skills and the ability to interface with design engineering, systems engineering, management, customers and co-workers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Security Clearance Requirement

  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.

  • Desired Experience, Knowledge And/or Skills

  • Knowledge and experience with applicable Military Standards.
  • Ability to apply logic and common sense to overcome obstacles and adhere to schedules
  • Ability to work in a team environment towards a common goal
  • Familiar with related military documents (such as standards, handbooks, Contract Data Requirements List and Data Item Description). Must possess strong technical writing, briefing and presentation skills, and capable of reading and interpreting engineering drawings. Military service a plus

  • Required Education (including Major)

  • Recent College graduate with a Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Logistics, Mathematics or related field. Candidates for this program must have received their Bachelors Degree within the last 18 months.
