Our Customer in Kalamazoo needs a software engineer to develop application level code for a 1 to 2 year assignment

For This Role You Would

• Plan and conduct software requirements analysis and design.

• Program and integrate your programs with complex electro-mechanical systems.

• Participate in all facets of the software development life cycle (from the initial concept to the final release) to bring cutting edge medical products to market.

• Train and mentor others on software engineering best practices, programming techniques and methods.

    • Minimum Qualifications

    • 5+ years of object-oriented development

    • 3+ years C++ software development experience

    • 2+ years of multithreaded programming experience

    • Strong real time system experience preferably using VxWorks but any RTOS experience would be acceptable

    • Strong written and verbal communications

    Additional Preferred Qualifications

    + Knowledge of:

  • software development in a regulated industry, such as medical devices
  • signal processing and control systems
  • embedded systems
  • network communications and protocols
  • Agile software development
  • software configuration management

    + Any level of German language skills
