Position Details

Job Title: Welder
Location: Prairieville, LA 70769
Duration: 6-12+ months (Strong possibility for extension)

Summary

Welds and fits all designated materials together with the proper welding procedures.

Responsibilities And

  • 5 years experience; including Flux Core (FCAW) and TIG (GTAW) welding
  • Experience in pipe welding a
  • Must be able to test in
  • Follows the company and safety policies and procedures as identified in the employee handbook. Utilizes management or human resources for clarification on items in
  • Completes work defined by lead or production manager each day in regard to welding or fitting on all products within guidelines specified by Production Document Packages or manufacturing
  • Completes all quality control checks to insure that all products meet quality standard and are within tolerances specified. Verifies all work with proper
  • If at any time assistance is needed in regard to any situation seek proper management for clarity. A further detailed description of job duties will be kept by production manager if needed.

  • High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or sufficient experience in regard to job determined by production manager and lead of
  • Must be able to perform basic mathematics, read and understand drawings and
  • Must be able to use and read proper quality control
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment weld testing given by production manager.

    Mandatory on-site test for Client's welding candidates; will be asked to do 3 separate test welds. Some in position and some
  • Weld #1: 1/2" SS316 Sch. 160
  • Weld #2: 1-1/2" SS316 Sch. 160 (TIG for root and filler, them Flux Core for
  • Weld #3: 2" SS316 Sch. 10 (TIG)
