We are seeking a creative, experienced and energetic writer with a passion for storytelling to be a key player on our team. This is a challenging opportunity to contribute to supporting our overall goals.

This is a part-time in-house position possibly leading to a full time, in-house, Monday-Friday employee position.

Florida Health Care News is Florida's oldest and largest health care information publication. Our mission is to be recognized and respected as the premier resource for health care information in Florida.

We help the families of Florida live healthier lives by providing them with information about doctors, dentists, rehabilitation centers, physical therapists, hospital services, independent senior living/assisted living residences, and other health care providers.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include interviewing, writing and reviewing content for informative and compelling health care articles with a marketing twist for our contributing editors, collaborating with the graphics department and other relevant groups to create a vibrant end product, SEO optimization, and other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements Include, But Are Not Limited To

The ability to develop a creative, effective story under tight deadlines

Strong telephone, verbal, interview, and writing skills

Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail

Ability to work unsupervised

Commitment to working in a team environment

BA/BS degree required; a degree in English, journalism or related field preferred

Minimum of 3 years writing experience as a feature writer

Health care, marketing and/or advertising writing experience a plus

Hillsborough County residence preferred

MAC proficiency a plus

Salary commensurate with experience
