Minimum Requirements

  • ABET accredited Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Professional Engineering (PE) License
  • Minimum 9 years of related experience which includes electrical design for new buildings, restoration and renovation projects
  • Experience in the design of power distribution systems, lighting systems, telecommunication systems and other building related electrical systems such as CCTV, access control systems, nurse call systems, etc. for Mission Critical/Data Center Facilities
  • Experience coordinating MEP systems with architectural design and field experience providing construction administration services
  • Great Supervisory skills
  • Must be able to supervise staff on multiple projects, provide adequate management, technical leadership and support to team members and verify that all work is completed as planned and scheduled
  • Strong verbal presentation and communication skills
  • Skills to clearly communicate with Clients and URS peers and provide clear direction to staff working under their direction
  • Valid drivers license required
  • US Citizenship required
  • Ability to acquire and maintain a Secret Security clearance
  • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test

  • Responsibilities

  • Serve as a lead engineer on assigned projects and/or complex engineering assignments
  • Oversee the design activities of junior engineers and designers to ensure quality controls and project criteria are met and within budget
  • Serve as a project manager on engineering related projects
  • Organize/plan projects and prepare man-hours estimates
  • Assist in the development of department standards and procedures
  • Support proposal and business development efforts
