We are currently looking to hire an Electrical Controls Engineer for our Atlanta office.
Requirements
Education
B.S. in Electrical Engineering is preferred, but consideration will be given to other engineering degrees based on actual project experience.
Experience
Minimum 3-5 years of electrical engineering with PLC automation applications. Candidates with experience with consumer products and high speed environments are strongly preferred.
Requirements/Responsibilities
Responsibilities include control system design, control panel engineering, SCADA, PLC and HMI programming, and site start-up support of integrated packaging line systems for the consumer products industry.
Requires excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to be applied in design, programming, and troubleshooting of packaging machinery and line control systems as well as specific experience with Allen-Bradley (ControlLogix, PLC5, SLC500) and Siemens PLCs, PanelView HMIs, Industrial Communication Networks and control panel design. Experience with RSView32, Intellution iFix and VisualBasic is a plus. Special consideration will be given to those candidates with DeviceNet, Ethernet and ControlNet experience.
The ability to simultaneously organize and successfully execute multiple project responsibilities is needed. Candidates must possess good communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact with all levels of management, clients, and vendors. Contractor management skills are also a plus.
Travel Requirement
20% to 50% travel will be required to support installation and start-up activities, attend Client meetings, Design Group management meetings, company sponsored training and industry related seminars, forums or conventions.
Relocation
Local candidates are preferred.
