Director, Product Development

The Director of Product Development will be responsible for identifying new product ideas, monitoring consumer and competitor’s trends, developing and testing product concepts, and developing sound business plans for new product initiatives. The Director of Product Development will also serve as the internal champion creating and executing the go to market strategy and serving as the lead project manager during the development phase through successful product launch. The individual will drive the Company’s efforts to position itself as a visionary leader in its emerging markets and to achieve its revenue goals.
Duties And Responsibilities
Identify and develop new products and services that profitably serve our target market.
Formalize and manage the product development process from end to end, including idea generation concept development and approval, and launch execution.
Create product business plans, and marketing strategy documents that accurately describe a business opportunity, key resource requirements and timelines, competitive environment, pricing, positioning and distribution.
Create Performa P&Ls and financial projections.
Develop detailed product description documents that provide clear and thorough requirements for the key support functions; web design and technology.
Facilitate all cross-functional team communication and coordination. Serve as project manager for all phases of the development process, including Design, Finance and the executive team to bring a product to successful launch on-time and on-budget.
Work as part of a team to execute redevelopment and repositioning of existing products.

Requirements
Experience in consumer product development/management
Strong business understanding and experience working in a technical environment
Excellent project management and organization skills
Ability to work under tight deadlines
Capable of managing several projects concurrently
Bachelor Degree in Business Administration with a focus in Sales and Marketing
At minimum 7 years market management experience in comparable industry which include the Financial/Banking Industry; Security Printer Industry; and familiar with the Hewlett Packard printer platform.
