Load and unload freight in a timely manner utilizing the appropriate motorized and manual equipment and by hand as needed. This requires previous forklift experience with the ability to problem solve because the freight that is being moved comes in various shapes and sizes. The perfect candidate would be interested in growth opportunities within the company or even possibly joining their driving school to obtain a Class A license (optional).

Description Of Essential Job Functions

Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight using a forklifts, pallet jacks, and by hand if needed.

Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes and weights (up to 50lbs frequently and if greater than 75lbs lift with a partner).

Safely walk and stand for extended periods of time on a loading dock that is not climate-controlled.

Safely walk, reach, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel as necessary to perform the job duties.

Verify and complete required documentation and reports.

Ability to handle hazardous materials.

Adhere to company safety policies.

Frequent contact with service center personnel; fast-pace and deadline oriented.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Prompt, daily attendance at assigned work location.

Working hours: 2nd shift 2:00pm-10:00-pm

Qualifications

5 years of sit down forklift experience required.

At least 18 years of age.

Have at least a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

Highly Motivated individual with attention to detail.

Previous forklift experience.

Must be able to perform the essential job functions.

Must be willing to submit to a criminal background and drug screening.
