The Ecommerce Assistant Buyer provides critical support to the online merchandising of the company's websites. Working closely with members of the Buying, Planning and Creative teams, they obtain and communicate the information needed for successful execution of the merchant vision on the online store.

Responsibilities Include

  • Develop knowledge specific to the Bed Bath and Beyond buying function; including merchandise selection, pricing, planning and marketing merchandise.
  • Assist the Buyer in assortment and category planning.
  • Maintain site inventory, insuring all adds, deletes and adjustments are updated according to established specifications and timeframes.
  • Run daily/weekly/monthly reports related to sales and inventory. Provide insightful, clear and relevant analysis that can provide opportunities and solve problems.
  • Assist in planning/coordination of products for advertising and promotion.
  • Organize and maintain merchandising calendar for website home and landing pages, navigation, special initiatives, item image, copy strategy, etc.
  • Special projects as assigned.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail or Marketing
  • Minimum of two years experience in e-commerce environment
  • Highly organized with great attention to detail.
  • Solid oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload effectively.
  • Ability to analyze statistics.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong problem-solving skills coupled with the ability to analyze statistics.
