http://www.qualcomm.com/qct/, is the world leader in wireless ICs powering the majority of 3G & 4G devices, the largest fabless semiconductor in the world, and is consistently ranked near the top of Fortune’s list of “100 Best Companies to Work For.” QCT’s RF/Analog and Mixed Signal design team is currently seeking a full-time Mask Layout Designer to perform advanced circuit layouts of full-custom RF, analog and mixed-signal ICs designed in deep sub-micron CMOS technologies such as 65, 45 & 28nm using Cadence’s Virtuoso XL (VXL) and OA based tools.
Skills/Experience
Applicants must have demonstrated layout experience in RF/Analog, Mixed Signal or PMIC circuits in deep sub-micron CMOS and have demonstrated proficiency in block-level floorplanning, running verification programs and debugging errors, understanding of design rules, device matching, minimization of parasitics, isolation techniques, etc. In addition to Cadence Virtuoso XL, candidates should have significant expertise with Calibre and other related verification tools. Expertise in Windows applications such as Excel and Project is a plus. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team are a must.
Responsibilities
As an individual contributor or design lead you will be expected to manage one or more projects on your own or with the assistance of others. The majority of the design projects will focus on RFIC design but you may also be asked to directly assist or provide resources to assist designs in other technical areas.
