    Job Function Successful candidates for this position will develop new or optimize existing wireless handset reference designs/platforms and mixed-mode wireless devices utilizing Qualcomm RF transceivers, MSMs, and power management ASICs.
    Responsibilities Responsibilities include RF design, system optimization, integration with Base Band circuitry with intensive lab debug and testing per wireless standards.

    Candidate must quickly assimilate onto an existing project, read/write technical specifications/requirements, develop/refine hardware designs, apply integration/lab skills, demonstrate strong problem solving abilities and work closely with RF, software, Base Band, Power Management disciplines.
    Skills/Experience - Candidates should have three to ten years experience as a RF hardware design engineer for consumer electronics with focus on wireless development.

  • Experience with RF hardware design of TX and RX wireless chains, bench debug, impedance matching, component evaluation, efficiency optimizations, system lineup analysis, lab measurements per WCDMA/GSM/CDMA/LTE standards is necessary.
  • Experience with radio frequency, high speed, high performance digital PWB design is desired, including understanding of cross talk, decoupling as relevant to PWB design.
  • Solid electrical engineering, digital & analog circuit fundamentals and lab skills are a must.
  • Strong written and oral communication and teamwork skills are required.
  • Experience with digital communications is a plus.

    Additional desired skills include: knowledge of transmission lines, experience with Mentor Graphics, PADS, RF Power Amplifiers, LNAs, or other schematic capture tools, Excel Macros for data post processing, Visual Basic, Labview, VEE.

    Education Requirements Required: Bachelor's, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
    Preferred: Master's, Electrical Engineering
