Senior Cost Accountant

Description

We are currently seeking a Senior Cost Accountant for southwest Houston, TX location. This person will serve as site accounting lead and ensure compliance with COMPANY’S accounting policies. In addition,this person willassist local and corporate management to understand and achieve organizational financial goals. Perform job functions in accordance with all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), federal and state laws, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines, health authority regulations, and departmental processes.MUST MANUFACTURING COST ACCOUNTING EXPERIENCE.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Support business unit management and Controller in reporting, understanding, and reaching site financial goals
• Perform planning/budgeting/forecasting: review forecasts with managers and update monthly; maintain forecast/budget in Hyperion
• Perform general accounting/financial close: calculate all accrual and prepaid entries; prepare all journal entries; prepare all account reconciliations
• Perform internal financial reporting.
