We are currently seeking aMechanical Engineer (BSME, Mechanical P.E. required) to fill an opening in ourColumbus, Ohio office to perform forensic investigations. This candidate would work in the area of vehicle accident reconstruction (VAR) and determination of the cause & origin of failures or incidents involving vehicle systems & components, plumbing systems & components, machinery systems and common household items as well as the evaluation of industrial accident and safety issues. Duties in this key position involve the investigation and analysis of vehicle collisions, product and material failures and industrial accidents for the purpose of resolving claims and legal disputes. Prepare oral and written reports that document causes of failure, extent of loss, and recommended remediation. Provide opinions and expert testimony. Other duties include gathering photographic evidence, conducting investigations to document onsite conditions. Must have experience in Vehicle Accident Reconstruction and possess strong communication skills and be able to deliver presentations to clients for the purposes of both litigation support and marketing. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and able to perform inspections in confined spaces and outdoor conditions year round.
