Electrical Power Engineer

We have a current opportunity for an Electrical Power Engineer with five years design experience to join our Facilities Engineering Division. This position provides design in the development of plans and specifications for new and existing industrial and commercial electrical power distribution systems. The position also requires experience in construction administration. Some travel may be required.

The power design experience should include knowledge of electrical power distribution equipment comprised of switchgear, switchboards, panelboards, motor control centers, motor starters, soft starts, VFDs, UPS, generators, overhead pole lines, underground duct banks, cable trays, conduit, and other raceway systems. Responsibilities would include developing specifications and drawings for these systems. Typical Clients for this position are involved in industrial process/manufacturing, material/fuel handling, and water/wastewater systems.

Experience in the design of buildings including 120/208V, 277/480V, 13.8kV general and emergency power, interior and exterior lighting, and signal (fire, security, phone/data, paging) systems would be a plus. The building design experience would include systems for manufacturing, warehouse, classroom, and office spaces in education, government, and industrial facilities.

Education/Experience

Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.

Five years electrical design work experience and job responsibilities described.

AutoCAD required.

AutoCAD Electrical, Revit & SKM Power Tools a plus.

Microsoft Office Suites required.
