Job Description
Reporting to the Director, the Manager of Corporate FP&A will be part of a team of finance professionals and work closely with the executive and financial staff to drive financial analysis, planning/budgeting and forecasting services to all levels of management. This position will support corporate wide strategic and operational initiatives.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following
Manage the corporate forecasting and budgeting function to effectively support the global organization across all divisions, including the management of budgets, forecasts and operational analysis.
Develop a thorough understanding of and keen insight into Tempur's current and future business. Assist in the budgeting/forecast process as it relates to financial reporting and target setting. This includes, among other things, forecasts of P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.
Drive the assessment, preparation, and presentation of company-wide financial analysis within Tempur.
Work closely with divisional FP&A teams and other corporate areas to understand operations and meet deadlines and achieve results while providing a high level of customer satisfaction.
Support Legal, HR, Investor Relations and other corporate functions relative to financial and departmental planning and tracking as needed.
Be involved in the analysis of various domestic and international operations and impacts caused by currency, interest rate and other fluctuations.
Critically review processes and procedures to determine how they can be improved, simplified or automated to achieve consistency, effectiveness and efficiency throughout the organization.
Ensure that the company has a highly capable planning and analysis organization in place through the ongoing attraction, training and development of skilled financial professionals.
Ability to present and communicate to senior management team on findings and recommendations as appropriate. Provide presentation material for Senior Executives and Board of Director meetings.
Work on special projects that may be assigned.
Provide pro-active analysis and issue identification.
Qualifications
Individual should be highly motivated, detail-oriented team player with an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Knowledge of Hyperion products a strong plus. Individual should demonstrate leadership abilities, be able to perform the above mentioned duties and be able to grasp new concepts quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Education And Experience
BS/BA with an emphasis in Finance or Accounting, MBA, CMA, or CPA preferred
4-6 years of increasing responsibility in finance and accounting
Experience in a global and decentralized corporate finance environment
Strong analytical skills with proven ability to model and analyze complex issues
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to manage people and provide team leadership
