Work Conditions: Job Description: Requirements: Our co-op program requires an individual be a full-time college student, have a formal arrangement with their academic institution, and be able to alternate full-time work and school semesters. The student may alternate between work and study for three or more terms.
Description
Co-op will gain knowledge of Norfolk Southern-Ts Industrial Development process. Co-op will help in the process of updating site material and site data base. Co-op will work closely with an engineer to help with preliminary and conceptual industry track and industrial park plans. Responsibilities include 20% travel.
Skills
Student must be versed in engineering drawing software such as Microstation/AutoCAD. Knowledge of Microsoft products and Adobe Acrobat are preferred. Should be willing to study site information and reference material in order to resolve problems and make layouts suggestions.
Prefer: Civil Engineering candidates. Salary for this full-time position depends on class level at the time of employment.
Hours: Monday through Friday; generally 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, but may vary. Relocation assistance is available to those who qualify.

Sophomore - $2,667/month, $32,000/year
Junior - $2,875/month, $34,500/year
Senior - $3,125/month, $37,500/year
Graduate Student - $3,500/month, $42,000/year
