Duties And Responsibilities

CACI is building a team of Senior Engineering Technicians to support the Submarine Advanced Planning Office of the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (PNS) efforts based in Kittery, ME and in Groton, CT.

CACI is looking for seasoned professionals on either a part-time or a full-time basis with intimate knowledge and experience developing, creating, and reviewing Job Summaries and Task Group Instructions (TGIs). Candidates will also be assisting with other Deficiency Form problems and preparing Sales Costs estimates. All work is in support of the restoration of the USS Miami and other Virginia Class Submarine engineering projects.

Work will be performed in both Groton, CT and in Kittery, ME. Some travel is anticipated between sites.

Preferred Qualifications

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least five years of related engineering technician experience. Technical training equivalent to an associate's degree is preferred. Other required qualifications include:

  • Person with relevant experience in writing technical work documents for the maintenance and repair of nuclear submarines
  • Must have specific experience with submarine systems
  • Knowledge of US Navy Shipyard applications, especially AIM, MRQT, IHS, ATIS, etc.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
    Must be able to obtain a DoD Confidential security clearance.

  • Command of the Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Current or recently expired DoD security clearance
