Assoc Field Engineer

Provide full life-cycle installation, configuration & troubleshooting and periodic ad-hoc operational requirements to support customer requirements. Specifically this support will include but not be limited to a variety of Field support functions such as site build, installation, upgrade, troubleshooting and deactivation of secure locations worldwide. Functions from light construction work to electrical work to cable installation may be required to ensure site locations are ready for IT equipment installation and operations. IT functions such as desktop support, systems administration, LAN/WAN configuration, security, router configuration, networking support and database assistance will be performed as part of the Field Engineer's duties. Field Engineer's will work with Project Manager's and site customers to ensure operational requirements are evaluated, tested and operational. This is primarily day shift work located in the Northern Virginia area with world-wide travel requirements for field engineering and installation support. Travel may be up to 3-4 weeks at a time for larger installations. Willing to work surge hours during site visits to meet deployment/operational schedule.

Required Skills
The candidate must have at least 5 years of documented experience related to providing IT/Network/Communication site installation, troubleshooting of IT or Networks and customer support to an IC customer or experience in site installation relative to light construction and preparation of secure facilities for IT operations Tier 1 & 2 Customer support experience Ability to lift 40 pounds Ability to travel world-wide At least one of the following certifications: Security+, COMPTIA A+, Network+ or equivalent within their designated field of expertise

Strong knowledge of classified networks, operations and security requirements Understanding of COMSEC and proper handling of classified material Training experience
