The UC Engineer should be able to demonstrate the following knowledge and/or experience

In depth experience providing Tier III or higher support for Unified Communication services

Experience designing, implementing, and operating unified communication and collaboration technologies on the unclassified and classified networks for clients while managing effective and efficient technological insertions to achieve IP convergence that is secure and interoperable.

Experience performing functions and actions required to maintain and support current and future network operations (such as Network Diagramming, Network Documenting, Service Reporting, Onsite Surveys, Onsite Network Installations, Network Traffic Analysis, and tasks related to the optimization, planning, and network service level support).

Substantial experience operating and maintaining video teleconferencing and unified communication systems.

System design and engineering experience

Experience developing and implementing military systems similar to the mission-critical computer and software systems maintained and delivered by the MCNOSC

Experience in basic Internet Protocol (IP) based services

Data and voice communications experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and have demonstrated ability to present material to senior DoD and non-DoD officials

Technical oversight experience in a C4 communications and networking environment

Insight to emerging industry-standard video teleconferencing technologies

And Security Clearance

At a minimum, the UC Engineer should have the following education, certifications, IT related experience, and security clearance

• Bachelors degree in IT related studies - or - equivalent experience
• 8570 IASAE III certification
• ITIL v3 Foundations certification
• Professional/ Expert level Cisco certification
• Professional level certification in industry-standard video teleconferencing equipment and protocols
• 15 or more years IT experience (in addition to degree equivalent experience)
• Top Secret w/SCI
