Job Description

The Applications Developer will work with the Technical Lead and team members and participate in development activities to include: requirements analysis, coding, testing, integration, deployment, operation and maintenance, and multi-tier user and system support.

The candidate shall have the ability to work with the Project Manager and the Agile SCRUM Master to identify technology gaps in current capabilities and processes and assist with the prioritization of requirements for development.

Duties

Develop, test, and deliver software changes and enhancements and work with a team of testers to validate proper functionality.

Write/design interfaces to companion applications and/or relational databases, i.e., Oracle.

Utilize the Agile/Scrum project management methodology and work closely with the project’s product owners to clear roadblocks that the project team identifies as impeding progress.

Provide ongoing maintenance of applications.

Support the software development process by contributing to briefing presentations and providing development progress updates.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related degree program or experience that would provide equivalent knowledge.

6 years of progressive experience with emphasis in software systems applications, design, development, and inter connectivity.

6 years of Excellent Experience in development of software applications using programming languages (Ruby on Rails, Java, JavaScript, Unix, Linux, Apache/Tomcat, Mongrel, Capistrano, MySQL, Oracle, AJAX, HTML, XML, CSS, CVS/SVN, J2EE, etc.)

1+ years of Experience with web-based frameworks and developing web-based applications using either Rails, Spring, Hibernate, or Grails.

  • years knowledge of Sponsor's Project Management Framework (PMF)

    1
  • years of experience in Agile development life-cycle projects from requirements analysis to deployment.

    1+ years of experience with communication and presentation skills.

    1+ years experience with web-based frameworks and developing web-based applications using either Rails, Spring, Hibernate, or Grails.

    1+ years of knowledge of Sponsor's Project Management Framework (PMF)

  • Preferred Additional Skills

    Experience programming in object-oriented methodologies, JavaScript and knowledge of Ext JS.

    Experience working with the Sponsor’s Virtual Directory Engine (VDE).
         

    This position requires the candidate to already possess an active Top Secret security clearance and to maintain the clearance.
