We are currently seeking a Senior-level professional to serve as aWOTC State Certifications Specialist. The right candidate will serve as a primary business contact for WOTC State Coordinators across the country and is responsible for communicating the business the expectations of each WOTC state office. The Certifications Specialist is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service to these government agencies and represent their needs and goals within the organization to ensure quality and compliance. In addition, the Certifications Specialist should build relationships with states and identify opportunities for obtaining WOTC certifications.

Essential functions and responsibilities

  • Regular communication with State WOTC Coordinators and staff to ensure their expectations arebeing met
  • Work with various internal teams to provide program updates
  • Respond to questions posed from State Workforce Agencies
  • Follow up regularly with State Workforce Agencies to maximize certifications
  • Strategically review certification requests that have been sent to state agencies without receipt of a response
  • Review and evaluate state performance, providing suggestions to the state and to the business on plans for improvement
  • Co-develop solutions with internal team members on necessary accommodations resulting from program changes
To qualify, candidates must have:

  • Bachelors degree and approximately 5 years of related wok experince; or graduate degree and approximately 4 years of related work experience
  • Extensive WOTC knowledge
  • Minimum of three years of account management or government relations experience
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent managerial, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to work with professionals at all levels across diverse geographic areas
  • High level of initiative and the ability to thrive in a team environment
  • Capacity to work independently and effectively on a variety of tasks at the same time
  • Proficient in the use of standardized software, specifically MS Office package
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and deadline pressures well
  • Commitment to following through effectively on all state requests
  • Self-starter” mindset
  • Other duties as assigned
Associate is responsible for directing others on the team.Overtime will often be required to complete responsibilities. Occasional travel is required.
