Based in Coastal NC - we are a growing manufacturer of brand name household products and are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support our Manufacturing and Fabrication processes.

This Electrical Engineer will help to develop, manage and support operations through the Manufacturing Engineering Department and will be an integral member of our manufacturing engineering team.

Your primary goal in this Electrical Engineering role will be to partner with management to drive improvement in facility performance - including productivity, quality, capacity and efficiency.
Main duties include developing guidelines and standards for electrical equipment of machines, equipment and facilities so that a procurement and manufacture of reliable, user-friendly and economical manufacturing equipment is made possible. In this role, you will work actively with management to optimize existing production facilities with the aim of process improvement.

Job Qualification Requirements

Engineering studies, subject area Electrical engineering or comparable education

Technical Proficiency: Programming Knowledge in S5/S7, WinCC, Protool, etc., E-Plan, AutoCAD (basic skills), Kuka programming skills, SEW frequency converter, STEP5, STEP7, E-Plan, AutoCAD, PLC Analyzer, Office Applications

Experience

2+ years in manufacturing environment (discrete manufacturing environment preferred)

  • Experience with Siemens PLC programming
  • Experience with HMI (Human Machine Interface) programming
  • Experience with Kuka Robot training
  • Familiar with SEW Motor Drives
  • Be able to create electrical schematics with EPLAN” and/or AutoCAD

  • What You'll Be Doing Specifically

  • Standardization of electrical equipment and machines
  • Planning and acquisition of equipment
  • Optimization of systems including the optimization of existing automation systems and production equipment and weakness analyses
  • Provide expert advice for the electrical maintenance departments and support electrical personnel in problem situations with the aim of producing the highest quality (Quantity and Quality) product.
  • Document management
  • Study product requirements, electrical design of machinery to meet those requirements, and implement process changes.
  • Planning and implementation of modifications of fabrication equipment in coordination with the concerned departments and contractors.
  • Preparation of maintenance work to increase the service life of equipment and devices, as well as the legally required tests.
  • Contribute in the definition of spare parts for new machines.
  • Assisting the planning departments in improving the maintainability of new machines
  • Assist with pre-acceptance and handover of equipment to the fabrication/assembly department/groups.
  • Purchase requisitions (new and repairs)
  • Responsibility for electrical safety test and TCI tester in production areas
